To limit direct log in to the Application Server Database and eB Application Server machines, it is recommended all access be done from the Data Processing Server. The eB System Management Console is used to set up the following components for the ConstructSim Work Package Server:

• Datasource
• Community
• Storage
• Repository
• Work queue services
• Engines

This console is installed on the eB Application Server and Data Processing Server (through the Engines install). On the Data Processing Server, open the eB System Management Console by selecting Start > All apps > Bentley > eB System Management Console.

You will notice the local eB Server listed matches the Data Processing Server name.

To access the eB Application Server from the Data Processing Server, click the Servers root node and select the + button on the toolbar to “Register Servers.” Enter the name of the server. You will now see both servers.

You will use the eB Application Server, the one not set to (local), for all subsequent actions.
